Verona

This feature was delivered into JDK 9 which was released September 2017. The Project was dissolved by virtue of losing its sponsoring Group. Discussion about version strings may be found on core-libs-dev.

The goal of this Project was to implement the new JDK version string as described in JEP-223. The new version-string scheme was designed to easily distinguish major, minor, and security-update releases.

This feature was delivered to JDK 9 build 95, promoted 2 December 2015.

    • To identify bugs of interest to Verona. They may or may not also use the 9-repo-verona version.
